Biography
Maria Polykarpou is a Psychologist Dramatherapist (BSc(Hons), MA) based in Cyprus. She is one of the pioneers who introduced Dramatherapy to mental health, education, and local communities in Cyprus. Her experience includes individual and group work with children, adolescents, and adults in Cyprus, the UK, and Greece. She provides experiential seminars and workshops for personal and professional development to professionals in mental health, social work, health, and education. She was the co-founder of an informal arts therapies group that organized workshops and presentations promoting the arts therapies in Cyprus. Additionally, she represented Cyprus at conferences in Europe and Cyprus, introducing Dramatherapy to other professionals.
